Manual Process Cost Calculator
Normalize a repeated process into annual time and labor cost.
How do you calculate the cost of a manual process?
Normalize occurrences to a year, multiply by minutes per occurrence and employees involved, convert minutes to hours, then multiply by the average hourly labor cost.
Worked example
A 20-minute task completed 10 times weekly by two employees over 48 weeks consumes an estimated 320 labor hours per year.
Assumptions and limitations
Each occurrence uses the same average time and number of employees. The hourly cost is a reasonable loaded or direct labor estimate chosen by you. Results are estimates and do not guarantee savings, feasibility, or outcomes.
